In 2007 I began making a series of small mixed media constructions to place on a “small works wall” at Gallery A3 (Amherst, MA) that was changed on a monthly basis. My goal was to consistently produce a new piece and to push the types of “reclaimed” material that I used in my vocabulary. All of the pieces are constructed from objects largely found on daily walks around town and on trips. Material or matter is simply a color/texture. Sometimes pigment is added as part of the dialogue with the material. These selections are part of this series.
